Dear traveler,

I am pleased to announce that Egyptian Express offers shore excursion service to your cruise passengers making port calls in Egypt.

In addition to our FIT and Group arrangements - which have become, I must say, famous and which we will continue to offer, - we also provide deluxe seat-in-a-coach service to our clients - but in small, intimate groups.

Here are the facts:

1) Our service is available to your cruise clients docking at the following Egyptian ports: Alexandria, Port Said, Port Suez, and Sharm El-Sheikh.

2) Your clients booked on this service will be met as they disembark by our staff of three - an experienced Tour Host to handle all operational details, a superb Egyptologist-Guide, and a superior, smartly uniformed chauffeur.

3) Transportation will be by extremely deluxe minicoaches, each full air-conditioned and equipped with cooler stocked with complimentary mineral water, soft drinks, and fruit juices; cellular telephone; and wheel chair for any passenger who may have difficulty in walking.

4) Although minicoaches are fitted with 14 seats, we seat only 8 passengers in a coach, - thus ensuring maximum legroom for your clients - AND extra room for hand baggage, camera, and outer garments!

5) The fact that our excursion membership is limited to 8 persons means that your clients will NOT be rushed through their tour stops with 40 or more other passengers or be troubled with getting in and out of a bus with scores of other travelers. Being in a group of maximum 8 people also ensures that each client will receive the maximum personalized attention from our guide, tour host, and chauffeur.

6) The small size of our groups also enables us to create more imaginative tour programs, with more in-depth visits to monuments and museums. And, importantly, your clients will have extra time to chat with their guides - and to ask questions.

7) An extremely important feature of our shore excursion is that they are NOT "Shopping trips". Our firm policy is that your clients are introduced to the sights - and sites - in an exciting, fun, but responsible manner. Then, if there is time, only one shopping stop will be made, at one carefully chosen venue, not three or four!

8) As most of you already know, Egyptian Express assigns the most informed experienced Egyptologist-Guides. (And traveling in a small group, your clients will get to know them!)

9) Our Tour Hosts, all highly experienced, are adept at handling every kind of tour detail from the moment our clients disembark until they return to their cruise ship.

10) Our chauffeurs have been carefully selected not only for their expert driving, but also for their excellent manners and sense of hospitality.

11) Shore excursions involving an overnight hotel stay will feature only the most deluxe properties, just as our FIT and group programs do.

12) Luncheon and dinner restaurants featured in these programs will be of the same high standard as those used in our FIT and group arrangements.

13) All these deluxe, small-group shore excursions are offered at rates NO HIGHER THAN THOSE FOR LARGE-GROUP EXCURSIONS conducted in a large bus carrying 40 or more passengers!

14) Most of your clients will be happy to learn that smoking is not permitted on our tour coaches.

15) Each member of these new Egyptian Express shore excursions will be given complimentarily a handsome souvenir program of the excursion, describing the sights seen and visited!

16) Rates of each of these shore excursions depend on choice of hotels and travel dates.

IMPORTANT!

Bookings for the Egyptian Express Shore Excursion Service please should be made in advance by fax or email.

After you have received our faxed or emailed confirmation, payment to us please should be made by airmailing us your company checks.

For those clients who prefer to make their payments by credit card please be advised that we accept Visa, Master Card, and American Express.

Program (D)

Early this morning we disembark and drive through haunting mountain scenery to the famous Saint Catherine's Monastery, set within massive granite walls at the very foot of Mount Sinai.

The valley where we stop first rose to prominence in the fourth century AD when Hermits from throughout the Byzantine empire who sought refuge in the wilderness near Mount Sinai inhabited it. Such was its reputation that in 337 the Empress Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, ordered the building of a sanctuary around the site of the Burning Bush. When the increasing number of pilgrims visiting the site were occasional attacked by nomadic tribes, the Emperor Justinian in 537 built the fortified enclosure and Church of the Virgin we will visit this morning. Entering the Monastery precincts we visit the Basilica of Saint Catherine to view its magnificent icons and other famous works of art, and gaze up at the marvelous mosaic picturization of the Transfiguration of Christ. We also visit the Charnel House and garden of the Monastery. Saint Catherine is a Greek Orthodox establishment whose monks have maintained excellent relations throughout the centuries with peoples of all nations and religions.

After our exciting visit of the Monastery we will enjoy a hearty lunch at the nearby Saint Catherine Plaza Hotel.

Before leaving the plain at the foot of Mount Sinai we will view the Hill of Aaron where the children of Israel fashioned the Golden Calf while Moses, above on Mount Sinai, received from God the Ten Commandments.

We motor along the coast to the lovely and now famous Red Sea resort paradise of Sharm El-Sheikh, arriving by 5:00 PM to re-embark our luxury cruise ship.
